The Templar is a unique and interesting class in Elder Scrolls Online. It is a combination of a fighting class and a caster class. This class would be similar to a paladin or spell-sword in other games, but this class quite have some history in the ESO. Because of the high versatility, the templar could really be used in multiple different ways in a party, and will be in high demand. It will take much strategy to balance the templar and know how to use them in different ways. Skilled and experienced templars will have no trouble finding parties to join. Using a this class in an unskilled and nonstrategic fashion will lead to failure.

The templar character can be played in various roles. They can be used as a support caster because of many abilities to increase their ally’s attributes in a positive manner. They can heal their friends. They also have powerful ranged spells that could deal large amount of damages to their enemies. This means that they can stay at the rear of the battle and focus on supporting the other characters in the battle.

Not only that, the Elder Scrolls Online templar could be a tanker also as efficient as the elder scrolls dragonknight because they are capable of sustaining a lot of damage while inflicting damage on opponents. Templar can change between these roles in a single moment, unlike most other character classes. This allows them to be a very versatile part of team. It takes less than a second for the templar to change a role from damage dealer to supporter or tanker when needed. Though they can also be a distance caster for the purpose of dealing out damage, that is not the best place to use them because their magical direct damage skills are limited.

It is important to keep this character balanced. If you only invest in melee combat skills then you will not be able to be a very good support character. If you only invest in his casting skills you will not be able to be a successful tank. There are other character classes that would be better suited to focusing on just magic or just melee combat. This class is in some ways a jack of all trades, and if all of templar’s abilities are not going to be used then a different class should be chosen.

The templar class is a creative and fun class to play, but it takes strategy and skill to play them correctly. If this character class is used correctly they will be a great asset to their team, but when used poorly they will be a tremendous burden. The strategy used by this character will depend on the makeup of their team and what type of enemies are being fought. If you enjoyed playing as a paladin or spell-sword in other games this may by the best character for you to be.
